Get rid of your contract phone and get a prepaid cell phone. With mine, I pay $50 for unlimited talk, text, data, web, email, etc. and don’t have to worry about a contract. It really is a great deal for people on a budget. Plus, I can refill my Net10 minutes through their website.

haha tip 5 is kinda funny not every one has a steady supply of ice cream tubs.
i recycle alumminum cans, plastic bottles, bi metals, every 3-4 weeks we collect like 130 bucks worth of recyclables…that means we drink to much soda…

The only tip that makes sense is tip 3. The others were a joke. Make a list of everything in your drawers?? yeah, like we have time for that

@ichrisprice Well I worked in supermarkets for over 10 years, and shopped in them for even longer, and they do reduce a lot of those items in the evening.

You are right about the “first in first out” thing, but many items in the freshly baked bakery section are only sellable for one day, so are reduced at night to quickly sell them (to reduce the wastage loss)

  13. ichrisprice says:

Tip three is incorrect, I work in a supermarket at night times, and in regards to prices being discounted, only some items are discounted if the date is close to expiry, and no it is not only at night times things are reduced, bakery will still leave the same bread and reverse older to front -not reduce, and dairy need to keep their shelf full so they put new at back and old at front, but importantly once again prices are only discounted when use by date is close not to get rid of.

Tip3 ? The problem with shopping at night is a lot of the good/fresh foods have gone. You are basically getting the left overs (if anything at all).

  19. TheJess1984 says:

@azatyler Clearly those who save their money have more money than those who don’t. This should be obvious to anyone. A 1 gallon milk jug can hold $600.00 worth of change. Try it out or continue to believe you won’t have more money if you don’t save and see how much less you have. Duh!

  20. TheJess1984 says:

In his defense much of peoples money goes directly towards food: groceries and eating out. Buying material things, well that’s easier to control unless you’re a shopaholic but you gotta eat so ways to cut down on your food expenses makes a huge difference!

    Some more saving money tips:
1-When making tea use the tea pot to make 3 cups of tea out of 1 tea bag. Then take out the tea bag, iron it and reuse it again when a friend comes to visit.
2-Never consume sugar at home…only when in friends houses.
3-Don’t smoke: you’ll find that not only it’s cheaper but healthier
